Kathmandu: Tribhuvan University has started preparations to conduct examinations from the second week of August. Although the lockdown is still going on, the schedule for conducting the examination will be published.
As far as possible, Trivi is ready to take the exam using traditional and other methods. Experts have also suggested that Trivi be affected by the lockdown and conduct regular examinations.
Tribhuvan University Controller of Examinations Pushparaj Joshi said that the examination can be conducted through internal assessment, social distance, traditional method, use of alternative materials and open method. Shivlal Bhusal informed that the examination will be conducted according to the lockdown format brought by the government.
The University Grants Commission had suggested to conduct examinations as well as examinations using alternative methods including online. The commission has also issued an umbrella guideline to reduce the damage caused to higher education by the Corona epidemic. Educational activities in universities and campuses across the country have come to a standstill since April. All 11 universities have started teaching online. Member Secretary of the Commission, Devraj Adhikari, informed that a directive has been issued to facilitate learning through alternative system in higher education to continue educational activities during the epidemic.
