Government’s decision not to take SEE exam this year
There will be no Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year. A meeting of the cabinet held on Wednesday evening decided to determine the grade based on the interim evaluation of the school. According to sources, the Ministry of Education had offered options such as conducting internal assessment, taking exams at the state level or amending the existing law to take national level SEE exams only in class 12. However, due to the construction of quarantine sites in schools, immediate examinations are not possible.
Now the schools will send the number of the interim assessment to the examination board and the results will be made public by determining the grade based on that. The SEE examination of class 10 on March 20 was postponed due to the corona risk following the decision of the Corona Prevention and Control High Level Coordinating Committee.
