The government has allocated Rs. 263.75 billion for the local level in the budget presented for the fiscal year 2077/78 on Thursday.
Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada informed that Rs. 263.75 billion has been allocated for 753 local levels.
The government has allocated Rs 9.47 billion for six metropolitan cities, Rs 9.09 billion for sub-metropolitan cities and Rs 115.98 billion for municipalities.
